DEXTER - Glenna Ruth Shearon, 74, died July 9, 2006, in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter.

Born Sept. 20, 1951, at Cincinnati, daughter of the late William Ray and Gertrude Rice Patrick, she was a homemaker and volunteer for Red Cross and had served as a recruiter while in the United States Army in Detroit.

On April 20, 1952, in Livonia, Mich., she married G. Dale Shearon, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Dale Shearon Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla. and David Shearon of Ellenton, Fla.; one daughter, Nancy Shearon of the state of South Dakota; one brother, David William Patrick of Braddenton, Fla.; one sister, Helen Davidson of Cincinnati; and 11 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Patrick.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Ron Williams will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
