DEXTER - Opal Stickles, 84, died June 22, 2007, at the Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Nov. 26, 1922, in Dexter, to the late Ernest and Mabel Jarrells Edwards, she had lived in Dexter most of her life and was a member of the Church of Christ.
On Sept. 20, 1941, in Dexter she married Argil Stickles, who preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1987.
Survivors include: one daughter, Pearl Ashley of Dexter; one son, Terry Stickles of Dexter; one brother, Floyd Edwards of Dexter; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd, Junior and Alfred Edwards; and one sister, Lorene Edwards.
Funeral services are scheduled at 1:30 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter. Dale Grissom of Dexter will officiate.
Burial will follow in Sadlers Chapel Cemetery near Dexter.
