Oran R-3 breaks ground

Mitch Wood, Oran R-3 superintendent; Kristy Unger, Oran Elementary principal andLaney Kock, Oran Elementary representative break ground Thursday afternoon for the districts's new elementary and junior high school building, which will house a multipurpose room.

The 38,000 square-foot building will be completed by the start of the 2007 school year.

During the expansion, the current cafeteria will be remodeled for a state-of-

the-art library and media center.

Present for the ground breaking ceremony were members of the Oran School Board, students, school employees and parents.
