Douglas Reed

DEXTER - Wayne Reed, 48, died June 13, 2007, at his home in Dexter.

Born Aug. 13, 1958, in Poplar Bluff, son of Wafe B. and Virginia Pierce Reed of Dexter, he was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Dexter. He was a former employee of Tyson Food and Holden Pallet Company, both in Dexter, and several other businesses in the area.

On Dec. 16, 2005, in Bloomfield, he married Monica Lynn Skinner, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Kandise Nichole Reed Lanpher of Advance; two stepdaughters, Brandy Jo Maddox McAdams of Cape Girardeau and Chris Nail of Batesville, Ark.; one brother and sister-in law, Dale Reed and Judy of Elsinore; one sister and brother-in-law, Terrie Jean Reed Weaver and Mike of Tomball, Texas; and three grandchildren, two nephews and three nieces.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Dr. Kevin Chenoweth and Dr. Curtis Porter will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter.
