DEXTER - Mildred Iola Laffoon, 87, died Sept. 7, 2007, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.
Born Feb. 4, 1920, in Sedgewickville, to the late Thomas F. and Zeba Rhyne Killian, she was employed at Elders Manufacturing in Dexter for 40 years until her retirement and was a member of the Sadler Chapel Church in Dexter. A resident of Dexter, she was formerly of Dudley.
On June 12, 1937, in Dexter, she married Woodrow H. Laffoon, who preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1988.
Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Deanna Laffoon; one brother, Berninard Killian; and one sister, Ivd Holland.
Survivors include: one son, Stanley Laffoon Sr. of Dudley; one sister, Goldie Medlock of Farmington; and two grandsons and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Buddy Heaton and the Rev. Andy Lambel will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
