BONO, Ark. -- Charles Wade Ferguson, 41, died Aug. 24, 2007, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Born Oct. 1, 1965, in Sikeston, Mo., to Robert and Estelle Doles Ferguson, he was a surgical assistant at St. Bernard's Medical Center. He was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm. He was a member of Jonesboro Masonic Lodge 129, Nettleton Masonic Lodge 657, Eastern Arkansas Scottish Rite-Jonesboro Valley, York Rite and was a Knights Templar.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Ferguson of the home; two sons, Macus Simonton and Jesse Bishop of Bono; three daughters, Kandice Bishop of Jonesboro, Ashley Ferguson of the state of Wisconsin and Brianna Ferguson of Bono; two stepsons, Cody Woodall and Cameron Woodall of Bono; one stepdaughter, Kayleigh Woodall of Bono; one sister, Patricia Ferguson of Ferguson, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Nettleton Baptist Church with the Rev. Craig Miller and Danny Elrod officiating.

Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Langford-Bookout Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Scott Hutton, Doug Perry, Dennis Hoke, Gene Hargrave, Bobby Blevins and Brian Malone.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Dr. Bruce Jones, Dr. William MacAlexander, Scott Straub, Wayne McClard, the Emergency Dept. and Surgery Department of St. Bernard's Medical Center and Medic One Ambulance Service.
