MOREHOUSE - Marion Ancell Greene, 70, died at 3:52 p.m. Aug. 27, 2006, in the emergency room at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born July 6, 1936, in Crowder, to the late Gilbert and Vivial Page Greene, he lived most of his life in Morehouse and had worked in the press room at the Standard-Democrat. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Sikeston.
Survivors include: three sons, Marion Greene Jr. of Wauchula, Fla. and Mark Greene and Timothy "Deano" Greene of Travelers Rest, S.C.; three daughters, Ruth Ann Long of Wauchula and Angela Greene and Kim Henderson of Landrum, S.C.; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim Greene and Glenn and Judy Greene of Morehouse, Danny and Peggy Greene of London, Ohio and Allen and Betty Greene of Medical Lake, Wash.; one sister, Mary Emma Greene of Morehouse; one sister-in-law, Arlene Greene of Waterloo, Ill.; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Greene and Gary Greene.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. John Bouldrey, pastor of First Church of the Nazarene will officiate.
Burial with full military honors will follow at 1 p.m. in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
