AURORA, Colo. - Hollis Fred Husher, 85, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died May 19, 2006, in Aurora.
Born Nov. 2, 1920, in Essex, Mo., son of the late David and Anna Belle Miller Husher, he was a United States Army World War II veteran having served from October 1942 to April 1946. He lived in Sikeston until 1948 before moving to Washington state. In 1960 he moved to St. Louis where he worked for Concordia Publishing House until retirement in 1986. Following retirement he moved to Aurora in 1989, where he was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Ella Louise Cox; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen F. and Patricia Elaine Husher of Aurora; two sisters, Mary Deane of Chesterfield, Mo., and Betty LaFontain of Sikeston; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Viola Irene Crawford.
Services were held May 23 in Aurora.
Burial with full military honors followed in the Fort Logan National Cemetery at Denver.
