MATTHEWS - James Harbison, 79, died Jan. 24, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 22, 1927, in Sikeston, son of the late Jim and Iva Mouser Harbison, he was self-employed in the pipeline construction business and a member of the Crowe Congregational Methodist Church.
On Nov. 27, 1946, he married Mary Kathleen Mainord who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Dan Harbison of Greenbriar, Ark., and Kevin Harbison and Keith Harbison of Matthews; two daughters, Diane Harden of Sullivan and Debbie Houston of Kewanee; two brothers, Bill Harbison of the state of Florida and Stevie Harbison of Sikeston; four sisters, Eva Dixon of Fenton, Bernita Voudrie of the state of Illinois, Janet Wiser of the state of Georgia and Charlene Stoney of St. Louis; and 20 grandchildren and many great-
One son, Jimmy Joe Harbison; and two daughters, Linda Cullum and Wanda Lewis, preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Kevin Mills, pastor of Crowe Congregational Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Matthews Cemetery at Matthews.
