Your view: Funds well spent

Friday, January 26, 2007

At the January 2007 quarterly meeting, the trustees of the Missouri Delta Medical Center Foundation funded over $34,678 in equipment.

Thirty-one thousand dollars was funded for ReStart Rehabilitation Services to purchase a computer software/hardware program for electronic medical records. This system will allow ReStart to deliver comprehensive functionality to streamline and automate clinical and financial processes, including scheduling, registration, clinical documentation and completeness of patient documentation. This system will come equipped with automatic coding and compliance features which will diminish time on administrative work, allowing the therapist to maximize time spent with the patients. The lead gift of $10,000 for this new system was from the Sikeston Jaycees.

Two monitors, at a cost of $2,000, were funded to upgrade the MUSE system which computerizes all EKGs performed at MDMC. These monitors will be utilized in express care and the surgery holding area. A large screen television was funded for Senior Lifestyles, the geriatric behavioral unit at MDMC, and the American Legion Auxiliary of Sikeston donated money to purchase Christmas gifts for patients of the Jaycee Regional Dialysis Unit.

The MDMC Foundation would like to thank all the donors who made this funding a reality.
