Missouri state champs place second at tourney

The Scott County Redbirds 11-year old baseball team recently returned with a second place finish during the Midwest Plains Regional Cal Ripken Tournament held in Grand Forks, N.D., July 25-29. To achieve this accomplishment, Scott County went undefeated in both the district and state tournaments held in Cape Girardeau and Chaffee, respectively. The Redbirds finished with an 11-2 overall record.
