Speakout 7/10

I would like to say to the person that called in about disabling the drunks, do you personally know someone that's on disability that does nothing but buy alcohol? If you do, then it is your responsibility to turn that person in or whatever you are supposed to do. But don't say that everybody on disability is a drunk. I am a very young person and I am on disability. Me and my husband barely make it from month to month and he works full time. We don't have enough to pay our bills. We barely have enough to eat. I don't have a computer, food stamps. You should not classify people that get disability as drunks. What happened to minding your own business and helping people in need instead of criticizing and judging? When did you become God? God judges people not you.

I need some help please. I lost an extension ladder in front of the bowling alley about 4:45 on June 29. A blue pick-up picked it up that had a cardboard box in the back of it. The first part of his license number was 504. If he could call me and tell me where the ladder is, I would more than happy to come and pick it up. My number is 472-1451.

I'd like to comment on a farmer I met this morning, pulling a trailer on a gravel road. The road is in west New Madrid County. It's just a sample of why the farmers don't get the respect they deserve because they have no respect for others. I met him on this gravel road pulling an empty 16-foot trailer. He was going 70 mph because I turned around and tried to catch him. All I could see was dust. I got up to 60 and I couldn't catch him. I know he's a farmer, I know who he is and I know where he went. I met him on this road, the trailer was fishtailing down the road. My truck was peppered with gravel. I have three pecks in my windshield and a crack. I'm just a working man headed to work, working by the hour. This man farms thousands and thousands of acres of cotton ground. It's just showing disrespect for me, wouldn't even slow down when he met me. I've lived on gravel roads my whole life, and I've never met anybody throwing that much gravel and that much dust. It was a tandem 16-foot trailer, big four-wheel drive truck, just thinking he's higher than everybody else, more important than everybody else. He's just disrespectful because he thinks his time is more valuable, other people's vehicles are not important to them. And that's why farmers don't get the respect they deserve because of the way they treat everybody else. If they aren't running you off the road with their equipment, they fly down your road with a trailer and spray gravel all over your vehicle that you work hard for. It's nothing to them, if they tear one up they just go get a new one. It's terrible how they think everyone else is peons compared to them. If you want someone to treat you right, treat your neighbors right and they may treat you right.

Dear sir or madam, Southeast Elementary was the only one that didn't give any kids awards for perfect attendance or gifts. The other schools did so a lot of kids was hurt very bad especially when there siblings got awards. I think they deserved some kind of award. Your friend, A Mom or Dad.

If there's anyone out there who has the address of phone number of a doctor that does acupuncture for the weight loss, would you please put your number in SpeakOut?

My Dad is the greatest man I ever knew, the kindest too. He taught me right from wrong and stood by me all my life. He once saved my life while I was drowning. I'll never forget that day. My Dad was a boats man in the Navy. We share a dog named Holly. He drove to Cape and adopted her and she is the love of my life. She is very smart and is devoted to all the family. My Dad is 82-years young and still loves Holly everyday. He used to manage the VFW and now takes care of my mother. God bless you Dad.
