SIKESTON - Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes, a national initiative dedicated to promoting state-of-the-art nursing home care announced recently that Hunter Acres Caring Center has joined its national campaign to provide superior care.
"This campaign's goal is to improve quality of care and quality of life in America's nursing homes. At Hunter Acres Caring Center, our residents depend on us. We are always looking for ways to keep them healthier and happier," said Nancy Driskill, RN, administrator at Hunter Acres Caring Center.
As a campaign member, Hunter Acres Caring Center will utilize campaign resources and tools to address three measures that commonly affect nursing home care.
The campaign will strengthen the public trust in nursing home care by focusing on quality improvement and transparent accountability. The campaign also acknowledges the critical role of nursing home staff in improving quality of life and quality of care for the 1.5 million frail, elderly and disabled residents cared for each day in America's nursing homes and the 39,000 in Missouri nursing homes.
Participating nursing homes will monitor both clinical quality goals and organization improvement goals, such as customer satisfaction and reducing nursing staff turnover.
