CAPE GIRARDEAU -- John Blanchard McFall Jr., 86, died at 8:12 a.m. Oct. 3, 2006, at the Missouri Veterans Home.
Born March 4, 1920, at Elizabethtown, Ill., son of the late John Blanchard and Nancy Katherine Humphery McFall Sr., he had been employed with International Shoe Factory as an assembly worker and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II.
On Aug. 4, 1941, at Charleston, he married Betty Tinnon who preceded him in death on Jan. 18, 1986.
One brother and two sisters also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Harley Bixler of Canalou; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, John and Laura Bixler of Matthews and Paul and Melissa Bixler of Tipton; and three great-
grandchildren, John Hayes Bixler of Matthews and Mark Milton Bixler and Elizabeth Molly Bixler of Tipton; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. today at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Cotus James, Stoddard County American Legion Chaplain, will officiate assisted by Dr. G. Wendell Weathers and Linda Boersma.
Burial with full military honors will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Harley Bixler, John Bixler, Paul Bixler, Don Beardsley, Gary Bixler and Dr. G. Wendell Weathers.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Hayes Bixler and Mark Milton Bixler.
