DEXTER - Marlene Norman, 70, died Oct. 3, 2006, at her home.
Born March 5, 1936, at Trumann, Ark., to the late Amer and Mozell Azbill, she was a graduate of Parma High School. She attended Parma First Baptist Church, where she was a pianist and choir member. After moving to Dexter, she was a choir member at the First Baptist Church of Dexter. A homemaker and businesswoman, she was a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Dexter.
On March 19, 1955, at Parma, she married James "Rod" Norman, who preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 2002.
One brother, Lyman Azbill also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, James and Starrla Norman of Dexter; one daughter, Kimberly Norman of Dexter; one sister, Dolores Bone of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Elwood Doss will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
