POCAHONTAS, Ark. -- Lester W. High, 76, formerly of Mississippi County (Mo.), died Oct. 2, 2006, at the NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born Nov. 22, 1929, in Mississippi County, son of the late Shannon B. and Ona Million High, he had lived in Pocahontas for a number of years.
His wife, Melba High, survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Jerry High of Imboden, Ark., and Ronnie High of Oil City, Okla.; one daughter, Judy Holland of Pocahontas; one brother, Frank High of Cottonwood, Ariz.; and several grandchildren, great-
grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
One brother, Carl High, and one sister, Sue Myers, also preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the Cox-Waymon Funeral Home where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Melvin Shelton will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery at Pocahontas.
