Two arrested in drug bust

SIKESTON - Two subjects were arrested on drug charges Wednesday evening. after a search warrant was served at 816 William Street.

According to Director of Public Safety Drew Juden, the narcotics units of DPS obtained a warrant due to drug activity and the Special Operations Group served the warrant around 9 p.m.

Detectives recovered about three pounds of marijuana, along with an undisclosed amount of cash. The two arrested are currently in custody at DPS awaiting charges from the Scott County Prosecutor's office for drug distribution.
