SIKESTON - Louise Tidwell, 79, died at 11:58 a.m. Feb. 6, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born May 16, 1928, at Paris, Tenn., to the late Talma Huggins and Ethel Richmond Huggins Garner, she worked with the Mother's Day Out Program at First United Methodist Church from June 1980 until March 2005.

On Dec. 20, 1960, in New Madrid, she married Carl Joe Tidwell Sr., who preceded her in death on April 22, 1980.

Two brothers, Harold Huggins and Herbert Huggins; and two half-brothers, Larry Garner and Jimmy Garner also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Tidwell of Holiday, Fla. and Carl Joe Jr. and Mary Tidwell of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and David Watkins of Bertrand; two brothers, Hubert Huggins of San Antonio and Gene Huggins of Sikeston; one half-brother, Dean Garner of Neelyville, one sister, Mary Elizabeth Urban of Staunton, Ill.; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Kathy Almon.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Friday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Mitch Jackson, pastor of Miner Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Joshua Riley, David Watkins III, Derek Tidwell, Michael Tidwell, Kevin Watkins and Mike Almon.
