CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Ruth F. Teeters Miller, 91, died Feb. 5, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
Born Jan. 11, 1917, in Grassy, daughter of William Lorance and Emma Elizabeth Patterson Francis, she was a member of Scopus Church of Christ. A member of the Certified Teachers Association and Missouri Teachers Association, she was a retired school teacher who had taught at Woodland, Zalma and Jackson and in many rural county schools.
On May 8, 1939, she married Robert Claude Teeters who died March 26, 1964. In March 1990, she then married Truman J. Miller who survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, David Teeters of Charleston and Bill Teeters of Marble Hill; two brothers, Gene Francis of Marble Hill and Ralph Francis of Nelson, Ga.; and two grandchildren.
Four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with Kenny Francis officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
