Sikeston Standard Democrat: Obituaries: Byron Kidd (02/04/08)

SIKESTON -- Byron Ray Kidd, 52, died at 3:23 p.m. Feb. 2, 2008, at his home.

Born April 28, 1955, in Portsmouth, Va., to Mae Ella Posey Moore of Morgan, Texas, and the late Arnold Ray Kidd, he had been a truck driver and was of the Baptist belief.

In addition to his mother, other survivors include: one son, Benjamin Fraley of Sikeston; one daughter, Jessica Fraley of Sikeston; one brother, Colin Kidd of Sikeston; three sisters, Ruth Cox of Philadelphia, Helen George of Sikeston and Sandy Gross of Bertrand; three grandchildren; and a special friend, Deborah Jones of the home. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Dennis Gross, deacon of New Bethel Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
