CAPE GIRARDEAU - Herbert Huggins, 77, died July 25, 2007 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
Born Dec. 13, 1929, in Greenfield, Tenn., he was the son of the late Talma and Ethel Richmond Huggins. He was an active member at Word of Faith Fellowship Church in Cape, where he was a deacon, on the Board of Trustees and piano player. He retired from General Sign Company after 30 years of service.
On Aug. 17, 1952, in Cape Girardeau, he married Margy Poe, who preceded him in death on Sept. 27, 2002.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Darryl and Paula Huggins of Cape Girardeau; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Howard Perr of Scott City and LaDonna and Ron Tidwell of Sikeston; twin brother, Hubert Huggins of San Antonio; one sister, Louise Tidwell of Sikeston; two nieces, Gloria Sullivan and Janet Stidham of San Antonio; six grandchildren, LaDonna Beard and husband, Jim of Benton, David Tidwell of St. Louis, Justin Tidwell and wife, Kim of Springfield, Steven Tidwell of Sikeston and Laura Huggins and Alex Huggins of Cape Girardeau; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan Hackler and Danielle Beard of Benton. Also surviving are: one brother-in-law, Donnie Poe and wife Sharon of Poplar Bluff.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home. Services will be at Word of Faith Fellowship at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Don Henson officiating.
Burial will be at Fairmont Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
