CHAFFEE -- Mary Magdalene Slayden, 84, died at 3:58 a.m. Aug. 7, 2007, in the emergency room of Southeast Missouri State Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Nov. 10, 1922, at Chaffee, to the late Frank Stanley and Pearl Watson Moore, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chaffee and Chaffee Eastern Star No. 48.
In February 1943, she married Dr. William H. Bagbey. She later married Patrick O'Mara on March 17, 1961, who preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 1979. On May 3, 1981, she married James F. Slayden who preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1999.
Two sisters, one grandchild and one great-grandchild also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son, Frank Bagbey of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Pamela Bagbey of Chaffee; two sisters, Gwen French of Sikeston and Jean Harrell of Chaffee; and two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Amick-
Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Watis Harrell will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
Pallbearers will be: Kenney Elfrink, Floyd Underhill, Fred French, Joe Mohorc, Tony Mohorc and Fred Harrell.
