SIKESTON -- Lacy Dale May, 66, died Aug. 7, 2007, at his home.

Born Dec. 7, 1940, in Gideon, son of the late David Allen and Flo Phena Bateman May, he was a member of Smith Avenue Church of God. He was a diesel mechanic for Hedrick Concrete and Clayton Farm Services before retiring.

On Feb. 23, 1960, he married Helen Hartle who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Matt Phillips of Dexter, Gina and Kenneth Crutchfield of Hillsboro and Leslie and Ronnie Bryant of Sikeston; two brothers, Jerry May of Blytheville, Ark., and Gary May of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Shirley Abernathy of Manhattan, Kan., and Nancy Coleman of Moro, Ill.; four grandchildren, Amber Kidd and Lacy Burgess of Arnold, Herman Brashear III of Matthews and Hillary Bryant of Sikeston; and four great-grandchildren, Kyle, Gunnar, Nathan and Kayleigh.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Jerry Chaney, pastor of Parma Church of God, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Mount Gilead Cemetery in Malden.
