WYATT -- Ruby Lee Summers Johnson, 83, died at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 8, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Oct. 10, 1923, in Decatur County, Tenn., daughter of the late Sam and Jennie May Monday Hamilton, she had lived in Wyatt since 1972 and was of the Baptist belief.
She first married George Summers who preceded her in death. On May 27, 1967, she married Norvel Johnson who survives of St. Louis.
Other survivors include: four sons, Clyde Summers of East Prairie and Jerry Summers, Russell Summers and David Summers of Sikeston; two daughters, Cathy Hebenstreit of St. Louis and Francis Shultz of Wyatt; one sister, Ealer Wallace of East Prairie; and 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Gail Summers; three brothers, Bunk Hamilton, Junior Hamilton and Vernon Hamilton; and by two sisters, Flossie Elliott and Ester Townsend.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Michael Brewer, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Charleston, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
