SCOTT CITY - Margie Marie Blankenship, 81, died at 7:45 p.m. Oct. 4, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Nov. 22, 1924, at East Prairie, to the late Virgil Green and Ora Speck Watson, she was a homemaker and for eight years delivered meals for Chaffee Nutrition Center.
On March 8, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, she married Alvin Eugene Blankenship, who preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1980.
Five brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: five sons, Dennis Blankenship and Gary Blankenship of Scott City, Robert Blankenship of Lakenan, Michael Blankenship of Chaffee and Bruce Blankenship of Kelso; three daughters, Patricia Jackson of Chaffee, Linda Bailey of Walls, Miss., and Carol Held of Reyno, Ark.; one sister, Martha Johnston of Scott City; and 31 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Rennie Phillips will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
Pallbearers will be: Charles Blankenship, Dennis Blankenship Jr., Rick Watson, Stephen Jackson, Wayne Bailey and Roger Hillman.
