CHARLESTON -- Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hunter Rolwing of Charleston are pleased to announced the engagement of their daughter, Laura Elizabeth, to Brian Scott Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Wilson of Marshall.
In December 2000 Laura graduated magna cum laude from the Sinclair School of Nursing at the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She is employed as a staff nurse in the recovery room at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. The 1996 alumna of Charleston High school is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma social sorority.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Pete Dawson and Mary Dawson Burrows, stepgrandfather, Merrill Burrows, F.D. and Margaret Hunter Rolwing.
In December 2006 Brian earned his Associate of Arts degree in nursing from Columbia College in Columbia. Employed by Marcus Food as a customer service representative, the prospective groom formerly worked as a health promotions nurse at Wellaware, a department within Boone Hospital Center.
A veteran of the United States Navy, the 1995 graduate of Marshall High School served as a field medic while stationed at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.
Brian is the grandson of Merlin Tousignant of Marshall and the late William Tousignant and John and Betty Wilson.
The couple plan to be wed on May 19, 2007, in Charleston.
