SIKESTON -- Ralph Shipley, 94, died June 18, 2007, at the Clearview Nursing Center.

Born Dec. 17, 1912, in Piggott, Ark., son of the late Hugh and Mary Elizabeth Bradall, he had lived in Bloomfield for many years before moving to Sikeston five years ago. He was a farmer and member of the New Beginning Fellowship Church in Sikeston.

On March 2, 1940, in New Madrid, he married Leodith Colvin who preceded him in death on Jan. 4, 2003.

Also preceding him in death were one daughter, Jennivee Chisholm; one brother, Dewey Shipley; and four sisters, May Colvin, Gertrude Morris, Mertle Edwards and Rosie Irby.

Survivors include: two sons, Steve Shipley of Sikeston and Jerry Chisholm of Advance; two daughters, Elizabeth Tison of Bloomsdale and Jennolia Leathers of Dexter; and 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-

grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Bill Martin of Sikeston officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
