MINER -- Kelles Lesley Wade, 72, died at 1:35 p.m. Monday at St. Louis University Hospital due to injuries sustained in an accident.
Born Jan. 23, 1935, in Luxora, Ark., son of the late Rice William and Lucille Reynolds Wade, he was an elder for the Blodgett Church of Christ. He retired from the Missouri Highway and Transportation after working there for 35 years. He was owner and real estate broker for Wade Realty Company, on the Board of Realtors and Realtor of the Year in 2006. He was a former alderman for the city of Miner.
On Dec. 18, 1955, in Blodgett, he married Jean Graham, who survives of the home in Miner.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Sherry Wade of New Madrid; one daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Ron Baker of Sikeston; one brother, Earl Wade of Blodgett; four sisters, Christine Rice and Molley Evans of Blodgett and Peggi Byrd of Sikeston and Judy Lemming of Mountain View; three grandchildren, Whitney Lavalle of Jackson, Mark A. Wade of Springfield and Ross Baker of Sikeston; and one great-grandchild, Wade Lavalle of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday. Russell Rice, minister of Blodgett Church of Christ, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Blodgett Cemetery.
