DEXTER -- Lena Morgan Keepers, 89, died June 3, 2007, at the Cypress Point Healthcare in Dexter.
Born Sept. 6, 1917, in Advance, daughter of the late Floyd Morgan and Mayme Simmons Morgan, she retired from Missouri Department of Social Services in Butler County. She was a former owner of Lena's Cafe in Puxico; a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Dexter; a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star in Bloomfield, Chapter 385; and former member of Altrusa Club in Poplar Bluff.
She first married to Glenn Hyslop.
On June 20, 1959, in Poplar Bluff, she married Joseph Keepers who preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 2006.
Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Margaret Anne Sifford; two sisters, Floy Jean Morgan and Ann Rainey; and one grandson, Chris Sifford.
Survivors include: one daughter, Sue Grobe of Dexter; and four grandchildren, Morgan Sifford of Puxico, Sue Anne Sifford of Sikeston and Kerri Kruse and Kristi Booker of Dexter; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9:30 until time of services at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Vaughn Wright will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance.
