Big boost for the YMCA

YMCA of Southeast Missouri Executive Director Jeff Partridge shows the designs for the planned expansion for the YMCA of Southeast Missouri to Jaycees Cal Crader and Jason Pounds. The Sikeston Jaycees pledged $500,000 for the building Tuesday night. The Jaycees, one of the major donors to the initial YMCA campaign 12 years ago, have continued to be active supporters of the local programs of the Y, according to Jason Pounds, president of the Sikeston Jaycees. Tom Robison, chairman of the Board of Directors of the YMCA, said the organization appreciated the group's generous pledge of support.
