MARSTON -- Mon Willer McKinney, 82, died June 15, 2007, at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis.
Born Dec. 5, 1924, in Wolf Island, to the late Artie and Ollie Cassel Long, she was a member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Marston, where she was the president of the Mission Society and an officer and member of the choir.
Survivors include: one son, JD Verner of Lilbourn; four daughters and two sons-
in-law, Delores and Charles Burton of St. Louis, Ann Duncan of Marston, Carol Reather McKinney of Sikeston and Lora Ann and Ronald Hawes of Poplar Bluff; eight stepdaughters, Joyce Duncan, Annie Murray, Shirley Visor, Barbara Joseph, Felecia Kamara, Billie Jo Thurmond, Stephanie Verner and Sandra Griffin; five stepsons, Dennis Duncan, Jodie Verner, Johnny Townsend, Henry Verner, John Verner and Timothy Verner; one brother, Oddie Long Sr. of Charleston; one sister-in-law, Irene Long of Lilbourn; and 24 grandchildren and 24 great-
One sister, five brothers and two grandsons preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the New Madrid Baptist Church in New Madrid. The Rev. Kirk Dunnavant will officiate.
Burial will follow in Mason Cemetery in Point Pleasant.
Williams Funeral Home of Howardville is in charge of arrangements.
