BERNIE -- J. C. Eaves, 75, died May 6, 2007, in the V.A. Medical Center at Memphis, Tenn.
Born Dec. 30, 1931, at Grayridge, son of the late Dave and Hazel Eaves, he was a former farmer and veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
On Aug. 25, 1953, at Bloomfield, he married Jacquline Hester, who survives of the home in Bernie.
Other survivors include: three sons and daughter-in-laws, Harold and Debe Eaves of Kennett, James and Wanda Eaves of Jackson and Johnny and Vicky Eaves of Bernie; one daughter, Barbara Kegley of Malden; one brother, Ed Crockett of Michigan; one sister, Carol Hall of Brighton, Mich.; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Crockett, Hubert Crockett and Bobby Crockett.
A graveside service was conducted at 1 p.m. today in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Stan Dauck officiating.
Burial followed.
Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie was in charge of arrangements.
