SIKESTON - Byron DeJuan Simmons, 37, died May 3, 2007, at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born Oct. 30, 1969, in Sikeston, to Turner Marshall of Kansas City and the late Lois Ellen Warfield Dixon, he was a 1988 graduate of Sikeston High School and continued his education in welding at the Missouri Board of Education Adult Center.

In addition to his father, survivors include: three sons, Byron DeJuan Patterson of Sikeston, Dayshawn DeJuan Simmons and Dominique Simmons of Suffolk, Va.; one daughter, Alayna Joyce Patterson of Sikeston; one sister, Kawajalyn Elon Collins of Jefferson City; two half brothers, Keenan Marshall and Kavar Marshall of Kansas City; three half sisters, Udochi Wilson, Ebony McCarthy and Karasha Marshall of Kansas City; two stepbrothers, Esrom Griffin and Kirstein Griffin of Kansas City; and one stepsister, Lakesha Griffin of Kansas City.

Visitation is from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Betty Ware, pastor of Power House of God Church in Sikeston, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Warfield Cemetery at Oran.

Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
