NEW MADRID - Vivian Simpson Ward, 88, died May 13, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Jan. 14, 1919, in New Madrid, to the late Welton and Ida Simpson, she worked for many years at Williams Seasonings in Webb City and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Webb City.

On June 13, 1937, in New Madrid, she married Kenneth J. Ward, who preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1986.

One brother, Davie George Simpson; and one sister, Bongene Krebs, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth L. and Sharon Ward of Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, Arnold Simpson and Loyne Simpson of Lilbourn; four sisters, Lucille Brewer of New Madrid, Patsy Tisher and Margaret Simpson of Lilbourn and Mildred Cobb of Sikeston; five stepgrandchildren; 12 great-

stepgrandchildren, and seven great-great-stepgrandchildren.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.

Graveside services will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City.
