CLARKTON - Delphine Louise Skidmore, 86, died July 21, 2007, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born July 14, 1921, at Gideon, to the late Elijah and Anna Belle Teal Kinsey, she retired from the Gideon Flower Shop and was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Clarkton.
On Jan. 9, 1937, at Risco, she married J.L. Skidmore who preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 1970.
Also preceding her in death were one son, Don Skidmore; one brother, Earl Kinsey; and one sister, Geneva Beck.
Survivors include: two sons and three daughters-in-law, Jerry and Kathie Skidmore of Gideon, Dennis and Marilyn Skidmore of Oakland City, Ind., and Janet Skidmore of Clarkton; one brother, Everett Kinsey of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Meg Wood of Sikeston and Norma Jean Cox of Rio Linda, Calif.; and six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted today at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon. The Rev. Jack Allen and Kevin Lawrence officiated.
Burial followed in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
Pallbearers were: Shane Marcus, Kevin Lawrence, Danny Ray Wood, Ryan Skidmore, Chris Skidmore and Gary Kinsey.
