ADVANCE - Richard R. Mullins, 83, died at 11 a.m. May 8, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 9, 1923, in Concord, son of the late Richard Robert and Avery Ellen Summers Mullins, he worked with a newspaper company in St. Louis and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He married Dorothy Hardin who preceded him in death.
Also preceding him in death were four sons, David Bradley Mullins, Jerry A. Mullins, Richard "Rick" Mullins and Michael "Mick" Mullins; and three sisters, Willene Ball, Rosie Hurley and Mattie Sims.
Survivors include: one son, Ray Gene Mullins of Baton Rouge, La.; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Gary Kennedy of Advance; one brother, Walter Mullins of Malden; and 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is at 6 p.m. Friday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dry Bayou Church in Concord. The Rev. Earnest Puckett will officiate.
Burial will follow in Dry Bayou Cemetery.
