DEXTER - Rachel Angelene Barker, 92, died May 18, 2007, at her home.
Born Dec. 15, 1914, near Bloomfield, to the late Thomas Marion McClard and Pearlie Elvany Eskew McClard Ross, she was a member of the South Pleasant Valley Church and a former floor worker for Swift and Company.
On Jan. 9, 1936, near Bloomfield, she married William Albert Barker who preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 1971.
Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Pearl Swinger and Marjorie Edwards; one brother, Samuel Andrew McClard; and one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Frances Barker of Dexter; three daughters, Angelyn Jackson of Athens, Ala., and Virginia Fithian and Wanda Chambers of Lewistown, Ill.; one brother, Virgil Leon Ross of Royal Oak, Mich.; and 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Vaughn Wright will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Triplett Cemetery.
