Born March 15, 1917, in McGee, to the late Byron and Nancy Jane Haddock DeCelis, she had lived a few years in St. Louis before returning to Puxico where she was a member of the Brown General Baptist Church, worked as a cook at Puxico Schools and was a seamstress.
On July 3, 1941, she married Herbert E. "Gene" Crisel who preceded her in death on April 6, 2006.
One daughter-in-law, Evelyn Jane Crisel, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jerry Crisel, Larry and Sharon Crisel and Stan and Myshena Crisel of Puxico; one daughter and son-in-
law, Lola and Harvey Fowler of Puxico; one brother, Dorse DeCelis of Advance; two sisters, Betty Haynie of Advance and Rita Hodge of Petersburg, Ill.; two half-
sisters, Shirley Sixgun of Edwardsville, Ill., and Marilee Jines of Bernie; one half-
brother, Butch DeCelis of Imperial; and 10 grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
Services were conducted today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. The Revs. Johnny Buttry and Ray Placher of Puxico officiated.
Burial followed in the Puxico Cemetery.
