Bill W. Ellison
SIKESTON -- Bill W. Ellison, 63, died at 2:25 a.m. June 5, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Dec. 19, 1943, in Sikeston, son of the late Luther Horace and Alta Lenora Cavins Ellison, he was a sheet metal worker and a member of Sheet Metal Workers' Local 36 of St. Louis. He was a 1961 graduate of Sikeston High School and had also worked for Max Ellison Plumbing and Heating Company for a number of years.
On Nov. 19, 1982, in Irving, Texas, he married Laura Ann Campbell, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Phillip Ellison of Springfield; two daughters, Melissa Wright of Carrollton, Ga., and Emily Kasap of Naples, Fla.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Marvene Ellison of Sikeston and Jim and Linda Ellison of Sikeston; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Ron Mitchell of Sikeston and Wanda and Bob Laseter of Sikeston; and four grandchildren.
One son, Billy Wayne Ellison; and one grandson preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, will officiate.
The body will be cremated, and a private disposition will occur at a later date.
