PORTAGEVILLE - Arah Imogene Williams, 78, died April 15, 2007, at the Portageville Nursing Center.
Born Sept. 18, 1928, in Obion County, Tenn., to the late Sterlin Franklin and Arah Petty Luker, she was a member of the Bokerton Baptist Church.
Her first husband, Trent Johnston, preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1949. She then married Powell "Junior" Williams Jr., who preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 1981.
Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin and Karen Johnston of Portageville, Dennis and Lucy Johnston of Union City, Tenn. and Darwin and Brenda Williams of Murray, Ky.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Susan and Dennis Mayberry of Potosi and Donna Simmons of Paducah, Ky.; three brothers, Marlin Luker of Jefferson City, Joseph Luker of Union City and James Luker of Bethalto, Ill.; three sisters, Mary Lou Pylant of Memphis, Tenn., Nina Kimes of Portageville and Josephine Spurgeon of Union City; and 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is at 6 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where services will conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Tim Abanathy and Dr. Buck Morton will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Old Republic Cemetery in Union City.
