ESSEX - William Henry Brown, 74, died April 19, 2007, at the John J. Pershing Veterans Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

Born Dec. 12, 1932, at Parma, son of the late Otho "Dink" and Alma Jewel Walker Brown, he was a former truck driver for Edd Eubanks Trucking Company and a veteran of the United States Army.

On Aug. 13, 1985, in Dexter, he married Ivana Kovarova, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: six sons, Ronnie Brown of Poplar Bluff, Darrell Brown of Dexter, Garry Brown of Bernie, William Gene Jacob Brown of Melbourne, Ark., and Peter Pechal and Paul Pechal of Plain City, Utah; five daughters, Sharon Brandt and Sandra Miller of Poplar Bluff, Lisa Oakes of Qulin, Patricia Hines of San Diego and Eva Ward of Ogden, Utah; two brothers, Dallas Brown and Raymond Brown of Dexter; and one sister, Twila Christman of Dexter.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Pansy Walker and Evelyn Asher.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Lonny Mittag officiating.

A graveside service will be held a 2 p.m. Monday in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
