PORTAGEVILLE -- Julian Raymond Carver, 69, died May 18, 2007, at his home.
Born Oct. 24, 1937, in La Belle, Fla., to the late Joseph and Iona Sweeny Carver, he was a member of the National Guard and a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War.
On May, 15, 1960, in Florida, he married Minnie Jullian Carver who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Joseph Steven Carver and James William Carver of Portageville; one daughter-in-law, Angela Carver of Portageville; one brother, Joe L. Carver of Leigh Acres, Fla.; three sisters, Connie J. Lorenzo of Miami, Jody K. Barnes of Cape Coral, Fla., and Deloris Agnew of La Belle; one stepsister, Leona Tays of the state of Indiana; and his stepmother, Constance Carver of Selda, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Danny Carver; one daughter, Julie Carver; and two brothers, Randy Carver and Wayne Carver.
Visitation is at 6 p.m. Friday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. A.R. Gentry will officiate.
Burial with full military rites will follow in the Mounds Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Vince Lovins, Johnny Crossno, Scott King, Brannon Neporadny, Cody Weinkauf and Paul Crossno.
