BERNIE - Mary Margaret Johnson, 86, died Nov. 30, 2006, at her granddaughter's home in Fort Smith, Ark.

Born Nov. 13, 1920, in Dunklin County, to the late John Alvin and Millie E. Pipkins Williams, she was a former employee of the Brown Shoe Company and a member of the United Methodist Church in Bernie.

On June 5, 1937, at Gideon, she married Louis Hadley Johnson, who preceded her in death on June 15, 1984.

One son-in-law, Harold Dean Gibson; three brothers, James A. Williams, Robert Williams and John Edgar Williams; and one sister, Ruby Callahan, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one daughter, Bonnie Sue Gibson of Fort Smith; one brother, Richard Williams of the state of California; two sisters, Joyce Lancaster of Risco and Frieda McCoin of Spiro, Okla.; and two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Revs. Susan Marner-Sides and Ron Dunavin will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Malden Memorial Park Cemetery.
