BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Charles Henry, 60, died April 16, 2007, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
Born Dec. 15, 1946, in Bell City, Mo., son of the late Mack Henry Sr. and Teacora Lewis Henry, he lived in Kentucky for many years. He was a member of Trinity Full Gospel Baptist Church, where he attended Sunday school, Bible study and was a former choir member. A U.S. Army veteran serving from 1966 to 1968, he was employed by General Motors Corvette Plant.
His wife, Mary Applewhite, survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Christopher and Miria Henry and Melvin Applewhite of Bowling Green and Alphonzo and LaKeshia Applewhite of Chicago; two daughters, Karla Stephenson and Angela Henry of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Odell Henry of Jefferson City, Mo.; six sisters, Barbara Stephenson, Joyce Kirkwood and Shirley Williams of St. Louis, Ethel Powell of Jefferson City, Carolyn Carter of Houston and Everlye Henry of Springfield, Mo.; and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. Saturday until service time at 2 p.m. at Christ Sanctuary Church of God and Christ in Bell City. The Rev. Alex Sims will officiate.
Burial with full military rites will follow in the J.C. Pullen Memorial Cemetery in Bell City.
Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of local arrangements.
