FREDERICKTOWN -- Marvin E. Soltes, 84, formerly of Wyatt, died March 29, 2007, at Fredericktown.
Born Feb. 25, 1923, in Wyatt, son of the late Orange and Hettie Lou Lee Soltes, he was a member of the Wyatt United Methodist Church. Having lived in Fredericktown for a number of years, he had worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation for 36 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
On April 26, 1946, he married A. Maxine Griffin who survives of the home in Fredericktown.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Christy Lynn Soltes of Perryville and Frances Jean Gardner of Smithland, Ky.; one special nephew, Gary Wayne Bellow Jr.; and two grandchildren.
One brother, James Edward Soltes; and one cousin preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services will be at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Clyde Bess of Fredericktown will officiate.
The Missouri Military Honors Program will provide graveside rites at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
