Born Oct. 4, 1919, at Dexter, to the late Wiley and Ida Bell Carwile Gillis, she had lived most of her life in Dexter, where she was a member of the Church of Christ and had worked as a supervisor at the Stoddard County Sheltered Workshop before her retirement.
Survivors include: two sons, Gary Allen Tandski of Dexter and Derill Ferguson Jr. of Hartville, Ohio; three daughters, Brinda Wallis, LaVerne Tinker and LaVeda Banken of Dexter; and 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-
great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Gillis and Gene Gillis; and one sister, Olive Ellis.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Dale Grissom of Dexter will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
