CHARLESTON - Eva Mae Mayo Stallings, 81, died at 11:40 p.m. May 15, 2007, at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Oct. 15, 1925, in McKenzie, Tenn., to the late Arthur C. Mayo and Robert Adams Mayo Westerfield, she lived most of her life in Charleston where she was a housewife.
On March 9, 1940, she married John Calmore Stallings who preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1993.
One grandson, John C. Gregory, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert "Bob" Stallings of Benton and John "J.C." Stallings of Charleston; two daughters, Virginia Nell Newcomb of Memphis and Shirley Jean Wilcox of St. Louis; one brother, Johnny Mayo of Fairview Heights; and five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Roger Jespersen, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Charleston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
