ST. LOUIS - Emmer Jackson, 78, formerly of Oran, died May 12, 2007, at the St. Sophia Nursing Home in Florissant.
Born Feb. 11, 1929, in Forrest City, Ark., to the late Raymond and Francis Witherspoon Gay, she moved to St. Louis a short time ago and was a member of the Church of God in Bell City.
On April 23, 1949, in Bloomfield, she married Ernest James "E.J." Jackson who preceded her in death on May 17, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bishop Lue Turner Gay.
Survivors include: five sons and four daughters-in-law, Thomas and Alta Jackson of Noblesville, Ind., Raymond and Marcia Jackson of St. Louis, Timmy and Debbie Jackson of Perryville, Gary Jackson of Milwaukee and Earnest and Kamaljit Jackson of Kenosha, Wis.; four daughters, Kathy Heady of Haywood City, Mattie Jackson of Noblesville, Norma Jackson and Flora Jackson of Milwaukee; one brother, Eddie Gay of Bernie; two sisters, Mattie Ayers and Flora Harris of Detroit; two stepdaughters, Falisha Winston of Haywood City and Elizabeth Nance of Peoria, Ill.; and 23 grandchildren and 26 great-
Services will be held at noon Saturday at the House of Prayer Church of God in Christ in Parma. Ronald Pulley of Sikeston will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden.
Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
