ORAN --Law enforcement officers arrested four Scott County residents on drug charges Friday night.
Three adults were arrested at an Oran residence in connection with felony and misdemeanor drug possession violations, Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter said. A juvenile at the scene was released into the custody of a family member, the sheriff said.
Quantities of controlled substances were seized in the raid, he said.
The arrests culminated a two-month investigation. The Scott County Sheriff's Emergency Response Team and the Oran police chief were involved in making the arrests, Walter said. The Scott County canine unit also helped out with the raid.
At the same time, two sheriff's deputies on patrol stopped a vehicle on a county road near Sikeston. Deputies requested help from the Sikeston Department of Public Safety canine unit.
Drugs were found on a passenger in the vehicle, Walter said.
In both cases, the names of the suspects haven't been released. All four were being held Saturday in the Scott County Jail at Benton.
