Clara Scott

PITMAN, N.J. -- Clara Byrd Scott, 91, formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died March 3, 2007, at the JFK Hospital in Washington Township.

Born March 10, 1915, in East Prairie, daughter of the late Bird and Iva Allen Hubbard, she lived most of her life in East Prairie where she was a member of the Church of Christ and owned and operated Scott's Paint Store with her husband for many years.

She married Vernon E. Scott who preceded her in death.

One son, Vernon L. Scott; one daughter, Patricia Scott Hankins; three brothers, Dick Hubbard, Mac Hubbard and Jeff Hubbard; and two sisters, Myrtle Skaggs and Bertha Lewis, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, William T. Gregory of Woodbury; one sister, Evelyn Brown of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; and eight grandchildren and four great-

grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery. Aubrey Wilson will officiate.

Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.
